I tend to get bogged down and annoyed at the circus of standardized testing. But there are glimpses under the red tape and high stakes. I've seen growth in young people and a system of relationships that are still vital. While I'm not thankful for state testing and its statistical invalidity and counterproductive pressures, I'm thankful for schools, for students, for teachers, and for the relationships created among them all.
